Ginkgo Leaves Falling with the Wind

They guide the footsteps of the lost,
Pointing the way to the changing seasons,
As the time for spring’s exuberance approaches.

I stroll along the riverside path,
Gazing up at the interwoven canopy of trees,
Where flickering rays of light play,
Traces of sunlight and wind in a playful dance.

Looking out at the distant mountains,
I find myself entwined with the verdant reflections on the lake.
In the mirror-like surface, I seem to glimpse the shape of home,
Rippling gently.
And within the window frames,
The face of longing resides.

As the sun dips westward,
The heavy evening sun sinks into the lake.
My steps remain light as I walk into the glow of twilight,
Where the light guides me home—
Warm, resolute, unwavering.
